AWB (ATHEISTS WITHOUT BRAINS)

You know, I’ve got nothing against the average person who doesn’t believe in God. Some of my best friends are atheists and I love them to pieces. However, some atheists are just plain stupid. It seems that Penn State came up with a T-shirt design intended to foster some school spirit. The “Penn State White Out” t-shirt has a vertical blue line down the center and the words “Penn State White Out” that crosses the line toward the top. The blue line down the center was supposed to resemble the blue stripe that is on the football team’s helmets. The back of the shirt says “Don’t be intimidated…It’s just me and 110,000 of my friends.”

There have been 30.000 shirts sold…but 6 whiny atheists complained. They claim it “looks like a cross”. Waaa! Waaaa! Boo Hoo! One of those big babies, Michal Berns, who is a junior majoring in media law and policy, said she refused to buy the $15 shirt because of its religious connotations.

“At first glance, you don’t necessarily think that’s what it looks like, but when you look at it more, it does look like a cross,” Berns told Foxnews.com. “That’s the reason I didn’t purchase it.”

Yeah…if you turn your head a certain way and look really really hard you might see something that resembles a religious symbol…that is, if you’re a freakin’ half-wit with your head up your arse, that is.

I guess the next step for the atheists of the fundamentalist variety will be insisting that all these be taken down….

Or maybe this game should be forbidden….

….because if they turn their heads a certain way, their eyes will burst into flames.

1292OH NO!!! NOT THAT AMBULANCE, SEND ME ONE WITHOUT A CROSS ON IT!!!

How’s this for a suggestion to those 6 babies who complained…don’t buy it, and do everyone else at Penn State a favor and transfer to another school…preferably one that house other idiots just like yourselves.

They can even design their own shirts.

  1. I love that COLEGE shirt. Even funnier that the Animal House COLLEGE shit Belushi wore.

  2. DE- Actually when I was looking for a t-shirt picture, I googled Belushi and Animal House and along with his picture, I found this one and liked it better.

Honestly, when I read what that Michal Berns said, I have to wonder how she managed to pass the exams to get into Penn State. I guess common sense isn’t considered when being accepted into college,eh?

  3. I don’t believe in imaginary cloud men, but even I’d wear a shirt with a cross on it….as long as it was upside-down! The power of the Big Ten(Eleven) compels you! The power of the Big Ten(Eleven) compels you!

  4. Randal- I don’t believe in imaginary cloud men, but even I’d wear a shirt with a cross on it….as long as it was upside-down!

Considering that believers of Cthulu see everything half-assed backward, that doesn’t surprise me. :-)

I say they keep the shirt as is and when they change the 911 crescent memorial in PA, Penn Sate will give up the “cross”…..Seems only fair….

When there is a hammer in hand, everything looks like a nail.

These people have a one track mind.

Time to pull it out and see the world for its rich multidimensional nature.

    This made me very sad….

glad I’m too po for cable…..

  9. workingclass artist–Oh my gosh, that’s awful! I never saw that show, I don’t carry HBO because it’s a waste of money. If I did, I would cancel it.

As mentioned in the article, if it were a picture of Mohammad it would never have aired. Just sick.

Like I said, this is just another form of persecution of Christianity and this is why I am no longer remaining silent.

Thank you so much for this article.

It’s a particular swipe at Catholics….the characters name where the sketch takes place is Maureen….so it’s actually a slur aimed at Irish Catholics….And I’m fed up….Made me sick to my stomach.
Y’know I remember that whole PC Photo idiocracy years ago….and the later Brooklyn elephant smear on the virgin & I’m an artist….A Catholic Artist….It was blasphemy and sensationalism of the worst kind by degenerates of mediochre ability….Who couldn’t get a show otherwise….

  11. workingclass artist Says:

Larry David is an atheist jew….suppose Conan O’Brien decided to do that on the wailing wall….Ya think it might be offensive…considered anti-semitic ? I mean it’s just a wall right?…..But hey it’s open season on Catholics….

  12. Mary Ellen,

Hello, just earlier I saw your message to me which you left as a comment at the “Oy… My Valve!” blog…
    http://ohmyvalve.blogspot.com/2009/10/come-back-to-har-habayit.html
…and wanted to say thank you for the kind words. :) (Feel free to e-mail me if you want.)

Anyway, as for this post of yours: Brilliant! Especially with your hypothetical “what-should-be-banned-next” examples.

    Sincerely,
    Craig

  13. I don’t care about the cross on it….but you’d damn well better not put me in the back of an ambulance with WINDOWS ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!!

that is tooooooo freaky weird! don’t you know people are looking at you all laid out in the worst possible position with your clothes hanging off as the ambulance tries to weave through traffic to get you to the hospital??? imagine having a baby in that ambulance!!

oh no. throw me in the back of my van and drive on, thanks anyway.

  14. thetownecrier Says:

mightymom, yes, that would be quite a show for the passers-by, and extra embarassment for the person “strapped in.”

  15. Holey Moses…Atheist that I am, the tempest in the teapot over the t-shirt is mighty stupid. And yeah, Larry David? WTF?

  16. I’m really sorry for my absence yesterday. It was “one of those days” if ya know what I mean. ;-)

Craig- Hi and thanks for stopping by. I’ll e-mail you later today, I”m really sorry for the delay in answering this comment. Hopefully I’ll have more time later today to get caught up with my blog visits, e-mail, and posting on this blog.

mightymom- That looks like a European ambulance, actually. I prefer to stay out of any ambulance. ;-)

bluelyon- Yeah, having people like that get attention for this protest doesn’t do atheists any favors, eh?
